I know you're wondering, "What is 2 cans paradise?" It's three river lots on the
banks of the Little Kanawha in Parkersburg West Virginia.
Just how it got its name? Here's the story.......
Larry & I work all week long at our business. We've never had a vacation in the 29 years
we've been married and it was showing on us. Larry's sister had a lot at the
Parkersburg Yacht Club & kept inviting us to come down. It took about three
invites for us to go there. I knew if Larry got next to the river it would relax him. We loved
it so much that we ended up getting a lot of our own. We started going to the
river early in the spring last year before the bathrooms were opened. A girls got to
have a place to go, so Sharon & I each brought a can.
That's how 2-cans paradise got its name.
My husbands worklife has been on the cutting edge
of the lumber and aluminun industries in West Virginia
for 27 years. He is the owner & sole operator of
M&S Blade Service.
The highlight of his career is when he went to
Lahdenpohja, Russia to set up a saw sharpening
shop. The Russian workers called him
"the professor".

I enjoy various crafts, but right now I'm learning
how to quilt. My mother makes beautiful quilts.
She's made me some heart shaped pillows in the
"crazy quilt" design that are gorgeous. Currently, she
is working on a quilt design called "Sunbonnet Sue".
I hope my quilts will be as lovely as hers.
I write poetry from time to time, whenever something I see
or hear inspires me. Because of that, what I write is never
the same. I plan to put a page of poetry up and change them every
so often. I encourage comments on them.

We are definitly a Ford family. Over the last 28 years Larry has
driven chevrolets and Fords and found that Ford bodies hold
up longer. Also Fords have less mechanical trouble. We own a 1994
Ford Ranger that has well over 230,000 miles and is still going
strong. We plan to replace the engine and keep it, if it ever dies.
The best never rest!

Geneology:The unearthing of your familys roots. This is another of my passions. My roots are in Sweden, Ireland, Germany, Whales, and the Native American . Our familys names are Haynes, Maddox, Flinn, Sullivan, Stephens, Erickson & Nordsted. Geneology is fascinating and exciting. I'ts brought me face to face with people in a past I didn't know was mine. Seeing into thier daily lives has brought them to life for me. I would never have known some of them otherwise. I'm using Sierra Deluxe Generations software. It's a comprehensive geneolgy software that comes with research aids and a book on how to do geneology research on the internet. If you have family by any of these names, I would appreciate it if you would send me an e-mail with any information about where they were from, who they married, birth dates, etc. Geneologists helping each other is one of the best research tools that we have!

Larry & I have been in love 29 years. Today, that's quite an accomplishment.
The credit doesn't belong to us. A personal relationship with God saved our
marriage 27 years ago & has kept the fire in it. Nothing compares with the love
God has shown us all in Jesus. God loves you. If there's a problem you can't solve
or if you want prayer for yourself or someone else e-mail us and we will agree
in prayer with you. If you're looking for something more in your life or if you
don't have a home church and are looking for one, come to
"Fresh Fire Ministries" at the old Roosavelt School, 800 Camden Avenue.
Join us and experience the Living Christ! We celebrate him on
Sundays at 10:00AM and 7:00PM and on Fridays at 7:00PM.
